The Controlled Substances Act Sucks
I just finished watching a Louis Theroux documentary where he went to Fresno, CA to investigate the meth epidemic there. It was devastating to see how meth addiction has ruined so many lives and really hammered home how dangerous of a drug it is.
Yet meth, along with cocaine, PCP, and opium, is still lower on the federal government’s Controlled Substances Act at Schedule II than cannabis, LSD, shrooms, and MDMA at Schedule I, which suggests the latter are highly addictive, have no recognized medical uses, and are not even safe to use under medical supervision.
WHAT THE FLYING FUCK
So according to the federal government, meth, coke, and PCP have accepted medical benefits, while cannabis and MDMA do not? Despite the numerous medical research showing both to have significant efficacy in treating many disorders? Not to mention they aren’t even physically addictive!
No wonder so many people think the drug war is a fucking joke.
